Below is the response I got from the department re: the application assessment and timelines

We are still in the process of sending invitations for interviews to shortlisted candidates.
If you haven’t received an invitation for an interview you will usually receive an official response regarding your application about 8 to 10 weeks after the application deadline.

I guess it's safe to say if we don't get interview invites by end of next week there's a high chance we weren't shortlisted.
I applied for the course in Dec 2022 and my rejection email came on the first week of Feb 2023. The same timeline could apply.

Now I don't understand why they don't reject candidates who haven't been shortlisted earlier so that we can all move on with the rest of our lives.

Offers usually come out first week of Feb (5th Feb last year, I believe by first week too this year)

OMG. I remember last week folks who applied for MSc in Genomic Medicine receiving their rejections on a Saturday 😅
