Application for same Uni

Does anyone know or have an idea of how unis go about applications. Because idk if me applying for two courses in the same Uni will hinder my chances of getting the course i want strongly in those two options

Depends on the uni.

Some don't care.
Some will say you can only have one offer and they may decide
Some may give you offers for all courses or reject you for both courses.

Are they similar courses? What uni is this?

Are these two courses in the same subject/course area, or two entirely different subjects?

I would not say they are similar courses as one is dental and the other is pharmacology

They are not entirely different but not under the same department. One is pharmacology and the other is dental tech

Don't do it. You cannot cover both courses in one PS without it being obvious that you are not 100% committed to either course, and you risk straight rejections for both.

Either decide on only one course / career, or phone the Uni and ask if they will allow you to send them a separate PS for the 'other' subject (phone, dont email as you probably wont get an answer before the UCAS deadline).

Ooh, ok ok thank you. Because my PS statement just talks about healthcare as a whole and my skills and then it talks about the research article I read on dent implants and stem cell and the work experience I did at a pharmacy (I originally wanted to apply to only dentistry but no gdp around me offered work experience so I had to do it in a pharmacy) my head teacher read it and said it was ok but idk

Only 2 unis offer dental tech so that’s why I put pharmacology as my other option. So are you saying to put pharmacology in a different Uni or just don’t apply for it as a whole(I wouldn’t have any other options to put that I want to do)

Don't apply to two different subjects - at any combination of Unis.
