what do i do my family is comparing me to my cousin?

my family are comparing my mock results to my cousin's ( she got 6,7s,8s and 9s whilst I got 2s,3s,a 4 and a 5) and my aunt wants to know my results and this morning on the way to school she was bragging about her results to me as if I didn't see them and when I told her to shush she goes on abt its because you didn't pass anything you failed all your subjects blah blah blah I tried my hardest but everyone's just putting me down. I told them that I tried my hardest and I did better than last year in some subjects but my parents are not supporting me.

It can be really hard being compared to other people. The thing is not everybody is an exam type of person. Some people are better at coursework, other people are better at hands on skills, etc. We are all different and that's absolutely okay.

I'm sorry your parents aren't supporting you. Unfortunately some parents can be wildly competitive, and have expectations for their child that just doesn't actually fit the child at all.

Ultimately you will succeed at what you are meant to succeed at - what you are good at - and that doesn't have to match your cousin, nor does it have to match your parents' ideal dream either.
