I did an investigation into the reaction between acid = magnesium .. i was wondering that what calculations could i do in my anaylsis to accept or reject the null hypothesis?
any ideas ??

I hate it when people do this. You haven't given us anything to work with! What was/were your variable/variables? What did you measure?

well i measured varying the concentration of acid + magnesium
surfce area + acid
temperature

what was the null hypothesis that you want to accept or reject?

the null hypothesis is different for all the experiemtns .. ok for the first one it is :
there will be no increase in the rate of reaction between hydrochloric acid and magnesium as the concentration of acid is increased
its the same for magnesium powder, magnesium granules and temperature !!

Did you see an increase. If yes, then reject the null hypothesis. Plot a graph it might help. I really do dispair.
