Leave of absence/ Transfer

Hi
I am currently on the verge of applying for a leave of absence from uni due to my mental health and I believe that it will be beneficial to take some time off as it has taken a tole on my mental wellbeing.

I was just wondering if I can transfer universities for September while I’m on my leave of absence specially Edge hill to do accounting and finance.

Would anyone have any knowledge in regard to my situation?

A new UCAS application has no impact on your current course.

So will it be possible to do this or will I need to fully withdraw before transferring?

You only need to fully withdraw if you are planning to enrol (usually only available in September) on a new course at another university.

UCAS doesn’t have any interaction with or impact on your current course. That’s between you and your university and governed by your university regulations)

You’d have to apply to restart from year 1 in the autumn but it’s very common for people to apply to restart because either the course or the university wasn’t a good fit for them.
Have you read the OP of the University Transfer FAQ in applications, clearing and ucas.

if you want to restart this autumn then you need your UCAS application to be completed and submitted (ideally with a reference from your current university tutor) by the January deadline in a week or so.
