Is DofE gonna help me if I want to do dentistry in uni?

I’m doing my highers next year and my mums friend has brainwashed my mum into thinking DofE is extremely valuable for a uni application and I need to do it if I want a chance to get into dentistry. I have good grades, and I do some extracurriculars as well as work at my dad’s restaurant. My mum won’t stop nagging me about it and i heard DofE is really boring and tiring and i really want to know if it’s worth doing.

probably not

majority (more than half) of students do DofE so it doesn't really set anyone a part anymore unless you got to one of the higher levels, that's what i was told anyway

don't know specifically about dentistry but if you only did like bronze or maybe silver then people don't really bother mentioning it on personal statements. at best it might make it to the cv for the first couple of part time jobs but it'll soon get replaced by better more relevant opportunities.

not many people do gold I believe because it's expensive and a lot of work
