media studies or computer science

i am in year 8 currently choosing my gcse subjects.i already know 3 of what im going to choose and they are:classical civilizations,RS and business.i am not sure between computer science and media studies for my last pick.i have never done coding before but i know its also about hardware and stuff like that which some people have said is hard.i think media studies is easier than computer science.

which one do i choose?

Well, that do you want to do after GCSEs? Any ideal careers yet?

Computer Science will keep your options open if you end up going down a more technical route.
Media studies would be better if you want to do broadcasting/anything creative.

If you're more logical then go for CS.
If you're more creative, go for MS.

Assuming you've already decided by now, but if not, absolutely media studies. It's much broader as a subject and wayy more interesting. I study media, and I have friends that do both and hate computing. I think computing is one of those subjects that might be useful long term but is a pain to have to learn, whereas media is also a very relevant subject but is actually fun to learn. Also the coursework element takes a little bit of pressure out of the final exams, and is a bit more creative. It gives you a bit of a contrast to the other subjects you've chosen as well, and I think it's important to have a more creative subject as well as more traditionally academic ones, because trust me you will not look forward to walking into your computing lessons the same way you will for media.
