BME or ME bEng at ucl

Hi, so I'm passionate about making/designing medical devices and artificial organs. However, I know doing ME then a BME masters would give me better job prospects compared to doing BME bachelors and masters. But in 5 years or so the medical field would be advancing so I think BME would be considered the same as doing ME and more recognised. I've already gotten a BME offer but I'm conflicted on whether to change to ME. Or i could do BME bachelors and ME masters so I can learn about biomed side much earlier.

I'd still go with the safer option of mechanical engineering at undergrad. No doubt the field will continue to advance, but the issue is more the number of jobs relative to those who are looking for them, and that many jobs will equally accept someone from a traditional engineering background, which keep more doors open should you also wish to explore other sectors.

You can apply for medical device jobs listed as ME degree required with a BME degree and masters and I don't want to go into other sectors ME has to offer as i'm not as interested. Tbh I'm defending myself because I really do want to study this although it feels like the odds are against me.
