Should I resit if so when?

Hii, so I currently have a 5 in maths and 4 in English lang, when I did both of them my school forgot to add my access arrangements (extra time and I can use a computer) I wanna do accounting and finance in uni and I need a 6/7 in maths in most of the Russell groups and a 5/6 in English, im currently doing btec business and so far ive been getting distinctions in everything and I think ive done well on my exams. I was going to resit In summer but I can't resit this summer with my access arrangements so should I do it In November? however if I do it in November and get my results back around jan 9th will I have time to apply for university? if anyone can help id really appreciate it

Hey,
I would retake if you are set on doing that course and need those grades. Applications for most universities close at the end of January so you would still have a few weeks to apply however some Unis are flexible with things like your GCSE grades if your A-levels/BTEC results are good enough.
Did you have a university in mind?
Equally, if you think the stress would be too much and there is a course you can get onto that you don't need those grades for that may be the easier option. If you don't mind exam stress and are confident you could get those target grades I would say do it!
Good luck, in whatever you choose to do !!

Why can't you have access arrangement in June?

You can apply to UCAS and add your resits as 'pending' - you don't need to wait for results.

GCSE grades are NOT flexible - if the uni wants a grade 6 then you'll be automatically rejected if you don't have that grade.

If you have existing circumstances they can be.

Very rarely and not to be relied upon.
