The Student Room Group

Partner Income?

Hi! I am applying for undergraduate student finance to start my PCGE year in September. I am 29 and so am an 'independent student'. I currently unofficially 'live' with my partner, he is not officially registered as living with me though he does give me a small amount per month to help with food bills etc.
Do I count his in my student finance application as there is no official proof of him living at my address? I don't want to get it wrong either way as I will not be able to study without the loans!

TIA

Hi Tara,

If your partner is permanently living with you then we would require them to support your application, so we can assess your entitlement based on their income. Thanks, Jason

Okay, what documents/info do you require from partners?

Hi there. We would require them to submit their income to support you applicaiton. When you apply, you will be asked to put down their details, and then they would receive an email with a link to support your applicaiton.

They then complete the form and we would check their income with the HMRC. Thanks, Leah.
