computing- computer science msc offer

Hey guys,
Hope you're all doing well! So, I’ve got a few offers for MSc Computer Science ( from durham, city university london, kingston, queen mary) , but I’m totally stuck on which one to choose (I’m an international student, by the way).

I’m also still waiting on replies from Imperial, King’s college, UCL, Sheffield, and Leeds, but I don’t want to let go of these offers while I’m waiting for the others. Any advice on how to make a decision?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hi @yacm1n

Well done for your current offers!!

It would depend on the regulations for an international student but I am sure that you would be able to wait to hear back from every uni that you have applied to before making your final decision.

For now, with your current offers, I would recommend trying to contact current students studying MSc Computer Science online via Facebook uni chats or even on here! I assume that it wouldn't be practical to visit any open days for the uni's you are interested in so this could be a way to compromise! Here at Kingston we offer an online open-day webinar which will be a great opportunity for you to find out more about the course and the uni directly from current students. I have inserted the link below, which also features pre-recorded videos to watch too.

Another option is researching on the uni websites, looking into factors such as location and facilities of the campus to try and sway your decisions if you are struggling. Another factor to consider could be resources that are offered to international students through the uni that might be able to help you.

I have a few friends here at Kingston that are international students as well. They chose Kingston for their facilities as well as it is just outside of London so they get to explore a quieter city with also the option to travel in to central London when needed!

I hope this has helped and please let me know if you have any questions!

Durham and Queens Mary's (QMUL) are undoubtedly the best options you have so far

Durham is the only good option out of these four. You’ll be stuck on a course with stupid people at QMUL, City and Kingston + job options will be limited
