Applied to pharmacy but wanting to do medicine

Hi I’m in year 13 and I’ve applied for the MPharm course at Nottingham university but having second thoughts and thinking of withdrawing my application and instead take a gap year and apply to medicine next year for 2026 entry. I’m considering applying to Nottingham again but instead for medicine. If I withdraw my application for pharmacy will it lower my chances of receiving an offer next year, since I withdrew from the pharmacy course or didn’t accept the offer? Would it make me not a worthy candidate? I am also a contextual student too.

it shouldn't at all lower your chances, you would be considered as a 'new candidate' (same as everyone else, and treated as such). people pull out and reapply all the time. I even had a friend who did it for a Phd, got offered the Phd, withdrew right at the last min, reapplied the next year and still got the place. If its not right and you already know that, id reccomend waiting a year and reappling to medicine instead, assuming you have grade requriements.
As above, withdrawing or declining one year won't make any difference as to how you are considered in the next cycle.

First you haven’t researched well about pharmacy as a profession, I will advise you should go for pharmacy instead of taking a break year because pharmacy is also a great profession within the health care sector.
