Advice / Mock feedback

**Mock grade & Predicted**

Biology 9 [91%] & 9

Chemistry 9 [91%] & 9

Physics 9 [87%] & 9

Psychology 9 [81%] & 9

History 9 [88%] & 9

Spanish 8 [81%] & 9

Mathematics 7 & 8

Further mathematics [didn't do an exam but predicted same as core mathematics so 8]

English language 6💀 & 8 (only because that's what I got the last few times)

English literature 6💀 & 7

[ I was honestly too distraught / busy to calculate a percentage for the rest, but if I can I'll edit the post]

**Feedback**

.I would really appreciate advice for English Language and Literature [ I do AQA for both, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, and Macbeth as well as the Power & Conflict poetry anthology]. On paper 1 I got 8 in Language and 7 in Literature.

.I have been stuck on a grade 7 in mathematics for a while now [ like since year 9 💀] and I would like some advice for that as well because I want to aim for a grade 9 in my next mock and actual GCSEs

.Advice on maintaining my grade 9s [ for those subjects I have focused more on percentage and applying them to the Korean grading system to humble myself and improve]. I have also been revisiting previous topics that i may have forgotten.

.Spanish was honestly my bad because I didn't revise and I had a really bad day when I did the exam, but I'm just grateful that my grade did not drop, but I will aim for a 9 next time

.And truthfully, should I continue with further mathematics as I am not even pleased with my core mathematics grades and my parents believe that it will distract me. I wish to continue as I think that its a good qualification and I plan to do AS Level mathematics but I would like to make the best and most logical informed decision.

If anyone would like some advice from me as well please feel free to ask.

Ok so:
for literature what i found useful was making a google doc analysing IN DETAIL each character in ur text, the themes, the key quotes and alternate interpretations of each character quote and main events. I also did AIC and i could give u a link to my google doc if u like but this will help SO MUCH make sure u read it often. For poetry i recommend that you chose 4 poems from the anthology that you like and analyse them thoroughly, again make sure u write more than one interpretation of the poems bc examiners love when you do that. These 4 poems will be ur main ones so make sure u can link these poems to whatever the question asks you or the poem the question asks u to compare it to.

For language make sure you read A LOT. The only way you can get a good grade is to have an extensive vocabulary. For example in section B it'll be a discursive writing question, you need to know how to write a piece of text in the form they're asking you to (blog, leaflet, speech). So make sure you read and are comfortable with these modes of writing. Also like literature id advise u to make a google doc and just fill it in with 'fancy' words and phrases just to catch the examiners eyes.

And for maths the only thing i can recommend is past papers bc they help so much. Mark them and see what topics you did bad on and go back and revise it and do more past papers, then repeat. With further maths honestly if you really do want it and think you'll benefit from it, do it. Your grades are really good already so I think you do have potential to do good in it. Hope this helps lmao

Work through Dr Frost. Honestly there's no benefit in doing the level 2 FMaths - aim for the grade 9 in Maths.

Thank you so much for the advice💞, I've honestly been contemplating dropping fm for a while but I want to see how my next mocks go before making it final because I want honestly started to appreciate mathematics more since learning it + I plan on doing it as an AS so this would be helpful.
