college/university application

Hello guys, I'm currently in Junior College 1 (JC1) and I'm studying for AS currently for the year 2025 and A for 2026, I have a question is it possible for you to take 2 subjects (A level Mathematics and AS Economics) at June while taking 1 subject (AS level Further Mathematics) in November and still be able to apply for university such as (LSE, KCL, Russel's group) for the intake year of 2026, or alternatively I have been thinking to take 3 subjects in June (A Math, AS Economics, AS Business) and 1 in November (AS FM). Thanks for the help in advance guys!

Your post is a bit confusing - are you taking 3 full A levels in total?
Just be aware that the most competitive UK Unis will want all your A levels taken in 'one sitting' - ie. all in Jone, or all in November.

You need 3 full A-levels, not 1 A-level and 2 AS-levels.
To start a degree in autumn 2026 you would need to meet your offer conditions by 31 august 2026. You can’t be accepted if you will be taking your 3rd subject in November 2026.

If you’re talking about spreading your AS exams out then that would need to be explained in your reference. Depending on the reason then it might impact your chances of an offer.

Ya, I'm taking 1 A level 1 AS level in June 2025 1 AS level in Nov 2025, and 2 A level in June 2026, would I still be able to apply to the uni?

Yes but some universities will count that against you (as evidence that you can’t cope with the volume or work involved in 3 A levels). You would need your reference to explain why you can’t study the same way as 90%+ of applicants and some of your choices might choose not to consider you.

Why not just take 3 ASs in June 25 and 3 A levels in June 26?

Yes, but some top universities (eg LSE) want all A-levels to be taken in one sitting.

If I take 3 AS on June 25 (I will only get 2 A's 1 in econ and 1 in math, however, I don't think I'll get in FM)
