Teesside Optometry

I want to study optometry at Teesside uni in I am year 12 student can someone pls send the timetable of how placements timetable are and whole 3 year structure of the course .I know students get a module guide at Teesside .Can you pls help me send me that as well pls i t really need help .It would really great if you can send these stuff .Also any optometry students at Teesside can you please if the how the course and if it is good course and if it’s good for the career .Can you aslo tell me what places can or areas for placement can you be sent to for placement .I know I am asking for a lot but I want to see how the course and placement are before choosing whats right for me .Plssse reply asap xxxx

I think the timetable could vary but currently year 1 placements are on a Monday every other week and for year 2 it is currently on a Wednesday every other week. For semester 1 you are placed in a high street opticians and semester 2 you'd be in a private practice (or you'd swap whichever was first). Optometry has a bright future and a great career prospects, especially in Teesside / North East because this is the first university to deliver an optometry programme. The staff work hard but because the programme is currently under provisional approval, it can be a bit overwhelming and disorganised but I think with time and a set number of student : staff ratio would help balance it all out. Unfortunately, the structure of the course constantly changes in line with GOC standards. If you want the module guide, you can request this from admissions if this is something they would be able to help with.
