University of Bristol Film and Tv practical aspects

i was just offered a place in Uni of Bristol for film and tv and i was just wondering what the practical aspects of the course were like.

as well as UoB i have an offer for UWE filmmaking, an interview for BSU digital production and am waiting to hear back from UAL for film practice and film and tv.

If it helps, i am interested in specialising in editing/post production throughout the course/after uni.

Im looking for a course that has a decent amount of theory/academia while also having a good amount of practical work to help build a good portfolio. any comments on this? thanks.
The only feedback I’ve read or heard from Bristol students about this course is that there’s nothing like the amount of practical experience that they were promised/expecting.

If you’re interested in postproduction then I suspect you’ll find it difficult to find a degree that’s both theory heavy and has the opportunities and facilities for you to build up a good portfolio. You’d probably be better taking a practical heavy CILECT member course. You can always self study/expand into the theory side more on a practical course which is difficult to do the other way around.
