How many sixth forms are you applying to?

I've applied to 5 schools so far (1 rejection so far) and I wanted to see how many everyone else is doing.
I applied last year to 4 different sixth forms and withdrew my application from one. Most people i know applied to 3 or 4 but anywhere between 2 and 6 is fine.

How many did you get offers for?

All of them, including the one i withdrew from in the end lol
My eldest applied to 5 (autumn 2021 was when she was applying).

There's no set number really.

5 colleges! one was uppingham's sixth form which i got rejected from. one's the big college further out in my county but i'm probably going to reject the offer because it's either a train or unreliable public transport. the other 3 are all pretty plausible for me (doing history, film, english and politics). my friend applied for 7 but he's a bit of an edge case.

there's only 4 colleges in a 5 mile radius that do film - 1 of them being a religious school - which massively reduced my options. anywhere between 2 and 6 i think are alright. do not just apply for one, i beg you.

so far i've had 1 rejection and 1 interview request so i'm a happy bunny

Think my problem is I'm applying to too many and my teachers have to fill in like a million applications!

That wouldn’t have been allowed where i live. How have you managed that? I suppose some of them must be very far away from home

I have no clue most of the people I know are only applying to like 7 or 8 but I've just applied to all the outstanding schools in my area. The max distance is about an hour so not too far out.

Its just cus I'm scared of not being accepted into good schools so I've applied to a bunch 😭
