yr 12 who hates one of their a-levels and wants to drop out because of it - advice?

as the title says..

the subject in question is english literature, aqa spec b - comedy & social/political protest.

i have no motivation to revise for the subject, english is draining me and i hate it. i cant even bring myself to complete the home learning we get set, i have 0 ideas when it comes to annotations and in general its just effecting me mentally. i switched from history to english lit at the start of year 12, impulsively i may add but now i severly regret this decision.

my sixth form wont let me switch in january, so im contemplating just dropping out altogether. i love my other 2 subjects, but i really cannot do english literature. i tried explaining to my teachers that i'm struggling, and i am trying to follow through their advice but i cant commit to this for the next year. should i drop out of sixth form? i dont want to sacrifice all that i have done in my sixth form life so far, but i believe that it's the only option..
What are you wanting to do afterwards? Uni? Which subject?

I want to go to university, and am looking into doing either Law, Economics or PPE. The other subjects that I do are Maths and Economics

Can you just not drop that subject and then fast track something else next year?

Have u thought about maybe applying to another sixth form with the subjects you actually want to do? And then catch up on the missed work?

Not really? I'm enjoying my other two A-level subjects and my sixth form environment, it's just english lit that's the problem.

could persuade them to let you do the work during half terms/ summer or make them give you some of the work to do whilst still doing english and if get a good grade on a test then you should be able to do it . idk though it's a pretty tough situation i hope you get it sorted out.

Could you drop to 2 subjects for the remainder of the academic year?

In some places you can do a fast track for some subjects such as sociology and criminology in year 13 so you end up with 3 a levels, does yours offer this maybe?

For English literature you can try YouTube, studocu, exam exemplars&commentary, knowunity and practice timed essays and mark on tilf.io and quizlet. It may be some help

Ah I didn't end up switching, I think I was overreacting because I wasn't a fan of the poems we were doing but now we have moved on to other texts, I'm starting to grow into it. What did you want to swap for English lit?

no,, i never got to speak to my sixth form pastoral bc i was waiting to speak to my sixth form mentor about arranging like a proper meeting but i didnt get to have a mentor session until like march which wasn't helpful. i tried seeing if i could switch in february but my head of sixth form was very adamant about not letting anyone switch. i've been on a conistent C in english lit and it's genuinely so mentally exhausting i'm this close to dropping out of y12.
