Econ/Finance or engineering

my a level options r gonna be
Maths, further maths, economics +epq
Or Maths further maths Physics + epq
Depending

Engineering: seems like a fulfilling career, good work balance, really happy with the Meng degree as it sounds rly good since it includes an industry year and masters and bachelors, Ceng doesn't require additional study or anything, seems cool wide range of options
However they earn quite less. I've worked quite hard so far (basically achieving all 9s in my mocks) and I'll continue ti work as hard as I can and di whatever it takes. My cousin cba w anything. Never got more than a 6 in GCSEs, DDC in a levels, no work experinecs. He got an apprenticeship and he's convinced he'll earn more than me saying he doesn't need adegree to go into finance n apprenticeships r better. I don't have a choice I have to do a degree. But I don't want to have worked this hard and suddenly earn less than him. That's why I feel a bit sad about engineering. Even with the Chartered I can't imagine earning more than 70k

Finance/ Economics: see I'm quite confused about this sector. Thr thimg I dislike is how it's more qualification heavy and the uni degree doesn't matter too much apparently. If I were to do a degree I'd do one w a placement yr so that's 4 years gone. After that I'll prolly have to study ti get these certificates like CIMA or whatever right? Then I can start earning? investment banking obviously pays a lot but the work life balance iss too out of hand the job takes too much of ur life which I wouldn't rly want. So is there any other degree?
I just checked out accounting and that seems cool. If I do 4 yrs of accounting degree at uni w placement yr, work full time while doing ACCA, then I can start earning 56-90k right?

the thing is if you dont do physics A-level, engineering at uni is really hard to get into however you can still get into some courses(which are maths heavy and those courses tend to lead to better paying jobs).
I think an engineering degree is better as you can switch from engineering to finance much more easier but the other way round is nigh impossible.
i might be biased tho because I do Further Maths, Maths, Physics at Alevel

Instead of epq do 4 A levels (maths fm physics econ) then you keep both routes open. You can later drop econ or physics once you decide what you want to do. Also don't only think about the money when choosing

hm I'd rather choose now tho then 'waste' my time doing another subject (ie I could be doing supercurrifalrs or working on 3 subjects to get better grades in those) don't think my school even offers AS for econ
