Hi, I applied to Biochemistry at Oxford, UCL, Bath, Warwick, and Leicester back in October 2024 (as oxbridge is early) and I've just decided to change my programme at UCL from biochemistry to biomedical sciences. But my personal statement is quite heavy on biochemistry, however I talked a lot about genetics, drug development, bacteria, diseases, antibiotic resistance, lab work etc., would this be a disadvantage or would I be rejected since my personal statement is not entirely towards biomedical sciences? My predicted grade is 43/45 IB with 776 HL (bio chem socanth) and 776 SL (Maths AA, Mandarin, English). I'm also aware that their entry requirements say higher level mathematics preferred and I take it at SL, would this also put me at a disadvantage and would I get rejected?
