losing motivation

im struggling to stay focused whilst studying - literally the fact that im writing this when ive been awake for 9 hours and still havent finished a single task - and im worried it will affect my perfomance in classes. im currently in year 10 at a grammar school, top set maths/sciences and middle set english. i dont want to get things that cost money as a means of motivation - just in case someone does recommend this. my aspirations are to be able to get a high earning job - not to splurge on unnecessary things, not to splurge on people who have severely damaged my mental health but to be able to help those who don't even get a chance. i want to be the founder of a charity organisation or at least a prominent member of an already existing non-profit company. many lose their lives in war daily, and many lose their lives to mother nature's cruel disasters. i want to be able to help at least either because it can take long periods of time to rebuild, heal and stay safe after these situations. but yea thats me in a nutshell. i would like to clarify that im not a good person nor am i trying to be. i don't believe in god either i'm not allowing greed to consume people to the point where innocent lives are lost in war. anyways thanks in advance for advice if given since ill probably forget i wrote this

firstly you WILL achieve your goals. secondly here are some things i use to study as an extreme procrastinator:

3-2-1 method - im not sure if its called this, but a good way of starting your revision is just by telling yourself “im going to revise in 3, 2, 1…” and at 1 you get up and go revise. it might not work after a bit because u realise you have free will (at least for me lol) but it definitely helps you get up and try to do some stuff

try not to have your phone around while studying, keep it out of sight. out of sight = out of mind

use short bursts of revision rather than tedious long ones

USE GIZMO !! gizmo is a platform that allows you to use flashcards in the form of active recall - this is something that can take 10 mins a day MAX, just by going over all of the stuff u learned in class, putting it into flashcards and going over it a couple minutes a day gets you so far !! it’s extremely useful and a very quick way of learning many trivia-based subjects, such as the sciences. here is the link if u want to try: https://gizmo.ai/invite/cbbub3z7

furthermore, try to write as much as you can in class as typically a person is most productive in the day (except if you’re me 😭🙏)

please try and get sleep it really helps

that is all thank you !! and just remember every day that you WILL achieve your goals !!

thank you so much! i love your advice. one thing for me is that im not able to keep my phone away especially when im home alone in case there's an emergency. so if anyone else has this issue i recommend recording yourself studying - im currently doing that right now and it makes me feel like i have to do work otherwise the point of recording is a waste.

Just imagine this as your goal, and if you do not study, you will not obtain it. If it was easy to do what you want to, everyone would be a saint, so you have to work hard in order to get there.
Best of luck.
