Eligibility criteria for Bar Course (BVS, BPC, BPTC) in UK

Someone please tell me the eligibility criteria for studying a Bar Practice Course in UK

I have a 2.1 in an undergraduate non-law degree and a PASS in Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PgDL). Am I eligible?

It's more or less a situation of - if you can pay, you are eligible.

The course is mostly run for economic purposes, rather than academic. If you have a 2.1 degree and vaguely adequate English, you just have to be able to pay the fee and a provider will accept you. All they want is your money, they don't really care what your chances are of getting in to a highly competitive career.

Getting into the field is a different thing. I just wanted to know if a PASS in PgDL and a 2.1 in an undergraduate non-law degree makes me eligible.

I think what you mean to ask is, if you complete the bar course, will you be competitive for pupillage with your background...which is quite a different question. Remember that completing the bar course does not guarantee a pupillage.

No I didn’t mean that. I just want to know if a pass in pgdl and a 2.1 in a non-law degree makes me eligible to be able to study a bar course in uk. Meaning if the university will accept my application.

I'm confused by your previous post then because your question was directly answered by threeportdrift already in that case?

They didn’t give me a straight answer. They said if you can pay you are eligible. To which I am confused since in UK you have to pay for every degree that you get.

The implication of their comment was that the requirements are very low because it's primarily a revenue stream for the university and therefore you just need to meet minimal academic requirements provided you can also demonstrate you're able to pay the fees.
