Dance audition at Liverpool Hope

Has anyone done a dance audition at Liverpool Hope because I’ve had an invitation and I don’t know what it’s going to be like. And being totally honest I’ve never done contemporary so this does come down to , how screwed am I?

It is wonderful to hear that you've been offered an audition at Liverpool Hope University, and don't stress, auditions are just a way to see you have an interest and passion for the art you are interested in!

Firstly, I have to say, I'm not a dance student, but as a student at Liverpool Hope I know many people who have been through an audition process, and it has always never been as scary as people thought it was going to be. I hope if nothing else, this can reassure you a little.

If you need a little more reassurance, the place to ask is [email protected] and they can help with either informing you or signposting you to more information about what the audition process is like - but as someone who did Performing Arts in Sixth Form, auditions and performances are never as scary as they feel they will be, just be yourself and show your passion and you'll be amazing!!
