Law Queens belfast Or Ulster Belfast?

Hiya !!!

I’m a Welsh Student who’s applied for Law M100 at Queens And Ulster !!! I received an offer from both - AAA for Queens and CCC from ulster and am really torn between them both as both the open days really appealed to me and both departments were incredibly helpful!

My predicted grades are currently A*AA and I did achieve AAA at as-level , but am just worried that I will not recive the grades from Queens despite really wanting to go … My insurance will be Aberystwyth at 112 points so I’m currently deciding on my firm

Is it better to be safe?

Thank-you !!!

Try for Queen's. At Ulster you would risk being bored by lack of academic challenge. It is best to study at a place where the other students are of the same or greater ability than you are.

Ulster could be a fall back choice if your A levels go badly. But try to get the A grades and enjoy Queen's.

Belfast is a great city.

You may already be aware that QUB offers scholarships to students from Britain who achieve good grades, and to students who are at national team level in any sport.

Belfast has a relatively low cost of living and is now peaceful and safe. The Nationalist and Unionist murals are now tourist attractions.

The QUB law degree is a basis for qualifying as a lawyer in England and Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. The NI and Irish qualifications are well worth obtaining, because they confer EU rights no longer available to lawyers qualified in England and Wales and in Scotland. Dublin is now a midshore legal services hub.

Ulster’s Law department is highly supportive, and you’ll still get an excellent education without as much stress. Sometimes playing it safe can give you more peace of mind while still setting you up for success. Best of luck with your decision!
