IGCSE marks

Hey guys basically I studied one year for igcse and the exams were so easy for chemistry and hard for math. I was predicted 2 A. And Im sure I didnt do more than 60 mistakes in math and chemistry, that's just impossible. Yet I got D and E.
Im sure some error occurred. Im sure if they check my papers, they will see that i didnt make many mistakes. Like come on the thresholds are really so low, for instance, you need 100/200 in math to pass (with a C). So if you get half of the paper wrong, you are still passing.
Do you think if I ask for a remark, it can go up from E to C ATLEAST? And from D to B?
What options do I have? Is a retake free for private candidates?

When did you take the exams? With which exam board? Assuming you did the exams in November with Cambridge international, you have 26 February 2025 to request a review of marking.

Note that most such reviews result in no change in the grade. However you seem sure that yours is very wrong, so it's difficult predict what might happen.

And no, it's not free for private candidates. They offer a "Clerical re-check with copy of script" (Service 1S), which should be cheaper, whereby you can see for yourself how each question was marked and decide whether or not it's worth requesting a "Review of marking" (Service 2). With Service 1S, they also do a quick check themselves to ensure they've summed your marks correctly, and that kind of thing.

Thank you. I did it in nov/oct..... Also, Im sure I am supposed to get A's, so is it possible it goes up that much? Or atleast from E to C or B? No matter what, Im 100% that I did well in the exams. I even have the past papers now, I have the paper I have done in oct..... it is so easy. I am sure they made a huge mistake while correcting my paper because my brother also failed all of his subjects despite studying harder than me

Okay is access to cambridge igcse scripts, free? And then when you decide to ask for remark, they ask for fees?

You will need to check wit exam centre about fees, I'm afraid. This is for two reasons:

1. They only make fees available via Direct, the web site for use by Cambridge International exam centres. (See this page which says, "There is an administrative fee for each enquiry. Details are in our fees list which is available from the 'My Messages' section of Direct. We will not charge the fee if the enquiry leads to a change to the syllabus grade." (So if your grades change in the way you expect, there'd be no fee for the "Review of results" service anyway.)

2. When the exam centre makes requests a service on your behalf, they may add their own admin fee on top of that charged by the Cambridge International themselves.

I would expect their fees would be broadly in line for Edexcel's (who also offer IGCSEs). You can see their fees here.
