You're only Year 9. You still have time to switch subjects. Talk to your teachers about this.

I would say ask your art teacher for support and stick with it, many people share the same opinion. some people i know say that they plan out certain times each week where they will work on their art and try and keep to it. just keep going!! i’m sure you picked art because you liked it so try and revive that.

as for french, i struggle A LOT too but for me i’ve found that if you memorise all the words you need to know and be comfortable with all the tenses. then you should practice these using languages online. then attempt to write paragraphs and bbc bite size has very good practice questions for the reading and writing sections for every unit (aqa). at first it is quite hard but just keep trying and you’ll get there. you’re only in year nine though and this is what i’ve been doing as a year eleven, so for now i would say memorise the vocab and learn tenses as you go along and make sure you are prepped for any tests. because you’re starting the course so early, honestly you should be fine if you are consistent.

as for physics, i have zero tips for that because i’m seriously struggling as well 😭 i would say the best thing is to ask as many questions to your teacher as possible. that’s what their there for!! don’t be afraid to just put your hand up, i’m sure someone else in the room needed to hear the explanation as well. good luck but more importantly have fun!! you’re only in year nine, don’t burn yourself out

Broo my physics teacher is the most boring person i have ever met in my life. No one understands what he is saying cuz he uses many words that we hv no clue what they mean and he is so rude, we gave a girl a detention for drawing a small smily face on the table. Im too scared to sk him for anything cuz he legit makes us feel dumb in front of the whole. tysm for you tipss thooo!!!

Would recommend the cognito website/app for physics (and science in general), might not work but I personally quite like it
art I would recommend trying your best to get its homework done early, its not easy to do (im saying this as a year 11 art student who frequently does my homework at 1am and it sucks), but it will help, especially since the workload does not get lighter unfortunately. also, dont stress too much about making it look good, the content matters more

ik everyones saying this but year 9 is not that deep at all so dw, i was doing kinda badly in yr9 but i think ive improved alot now in yr11 (for refernce i used to get like 40-50% in physics and now i got an 8 in my recent mock though cos ppl cheated they moved it down to a 7 cos grade boundaries got highered) - i think i'd recommend doing physics and maths tutor questions for each topic when you're revising for topic test and you can use their flashcards asw and you can watch cognito (GOAT🙏) + freesciencelessons vids if you're struggling. honestly i'm so done with french rn and i'd recommend learning the vocab and tenses soon or even at the start of yr10

TSR is a brilliant way to document your studies. Use it too keep track of everything and people will help you. Ask anything if you require assistance.
Honestly year 9 is no biggie no need to start revising just have fun and develop hobbies. Year 10 start listening and preparing for mocks ( TRY IN THESE )- in this year if you make your notes its going to be very beneficial in year 11
Year 11 you need to start revising with your preferred revision method.
Top tip: look at the gcse specification from the start and expose yourself to exam practice from year 10.
If you are in year 9 right now there is nothing to stress about

tbf some of the content in the topics you might study later on cos some you dont complete till yr 9 and 10 so js do the best ypu can in questions yk and check the solutions and maybe make a quizlet or a doc of questions you didn't know and revisit the contentcos answering questions is SO important for physics cos its largely application rather than application
