Have you ever considered transferring uni?

Curious - has anyone considered transferring uni? If you have, how did you find the process? Did you get much support with finding new accommodation etc?

I haven't personally transferred university or course however I know one of my peers has recently transferred universities from a Scottish university to Manchester.
He found the process to be supported by the university he was joining and they offered halls accommodation that was leftover spare from when freshers had dropped out. However I would suggest if the university you're thinking of switching to doesn't make that offer - looking at the Facebook accommodation groups, as often they're searching for an extra flatmate or housemate to join them on a a student rental contract where they need a certain amount of people. That can be a great way to find some housemates for a university in an unfamiliar place.
