I don't think you should base your revision on how much time, but on the quality of your revision. You could be studying for 8 hours uneffectively and get a 6, or you can study for 1 hour effectively and get an 8. That was just an illustration though, you should base your revising on quality, not quantity. Find a study method that works for you, and how much time you have, work from there when building your revision timetable. Hope that helps Xxx

imo this will vary a lot between people, so theres no set answer but if you do even 10 minutes of revision per subject every day you'll see a lot of progress. The point is to make it a habit (even a little bit or studying is better than none). Good luck with GCSEs

I'm aiming for similar and currently doing 12h+ a week (+ homework) but how much I do does depend on my mood & how motivated I'm feeling. It really depends on the person, some of my friends are doing more than that whilst some are doing practically no revision and getting 7-9s

Hey @Eleanor2342,

It's great that you want to dedicate revision time to achieving the best grades possible in your GCSEs - however, as mentioned above, there's unfortunately no one-size-fits-all approach to revision timetables.

Depending on the grade you're currently sitting on, one or two hours of effective revision a day might be more than enough. Focus first on your weakest subjects and topics, making sure you have a good understanding of the overall content before moving on to past paper questions and other revision techniques. 🙂

Best of luck with your GCSEs,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
