Blue Monday

Today is Blue Monday which is an annual day that is often regarded as the most depressing day of the year!

It is associated with feelings of sadness, low motivation, and a lack of energy. While the concept of Blue Monday has been criticised, it has become a day for promoting mental health awareness and self-care.

Here are some ideas on how to cope with Blue Monday:

- Reach out: Connect with family, friends, or a mental health professional to share your feelings and seek support.

- Practice self care: Engage in activities that promote well-being such as exercise, meditation, or hobbies you enjoy. You could even have a pamper evening.

- Set realistic goals: It is never too late to set yourself some goals for the year. Set goals that are manageable to reduce feelings of overwhelm.

- Acknowledge emotions: It is okay to feel sad, but try to identify and challenge negative though patterns and seek support if needed.

- Limit Stressors: Reduce exposure to stress, and prioritise your own mental well-being.

There was just some ideas. let us know in the comments what you are doing today to prioritise your own well-being!
