Hi, I submitted my summative 4 minutes after its due. Will my mark be capped? I heard there is a late submission form to fill out; should I do that?
Hiya,You should reach out to your module convenor or the department teaching and learning manager if you haven't already. The policy on late submissions is as follows:''Students who submit their summative assessed work late but within five working days[1] of the deadline shall be penalised by having the mark for that work capped at the module pass mark (note: this rule does not apply in the case of assessed work submitted late for a resit assessment - where work is already capped at the pass mark. Any resit work submitted late will not be marked, and a mark of zero will be recorded instead). The work will be marked and feedback supplied. The mark that would have been awarded to the student had the penalty not been applied should be indicated to the student.''
Any update as I have also just submitted late. I emailed the course leader and he replied almost immediately that it was the department office I needed to contact. I know from experience they can be super slow to respond so am looking for any indication that they make some allowances or if the 40 cap applies to all late submission for up to 5 working days.
Quick update - I heard back from the department and they let me know it would be counted as submitted on time. So relieved and very grateful they could replied so quickly.
