Is it okay to go to the gym like this?

My mum says it's not, but she's always been a prude. Wasn't sure where I could ask this, but I guess here is best because it's lesslikely to have old creeps. Hope to get some constructive advice here.

hi! honestly if youre comfortable wearing that to the gym then wear it but keep in mind that you may want to wear something with support and that is breathable and comfortable while working out. your mum is most likely worried about creeps in the gym which she does have a point about so id say bring a hoodie with you just in case you start to feel uncomfortable (and also in case its cold). most people dont put a lot of thought into what they wear to the gym so dont worry about looking your best or wearing anything you arent comfortable in to please anyone else because most of the time other people are too absorbed in their own workouts to take any notice. i literally dress like a bum in the gym and no one ever pays any attention. 🙂

If it makes a difference, I’m 15. That’s what my mum keeps saying. She keeps bringing up my age. But everyone else I know dresses like this too. And I shouldn’t have to be different just because I have big boobs

i get that and honestly i do see where your mums coming from only because she probably doesnt want creeps oogling at you since this sounds cringe but you are still her little girl which is probably why she keeps bringing up your age but i think if you go with a friend or a group so you can stay safe incase there are any creeps and again think about bringing a hoodie or even just a top to put over with you because unwanted attention can be really uncomfortable then you'll be fine. but just make sure that youre wearing that because its comfortable and you like it, not just because everyone else wears them. because honestly, i find that low cut sports bras dont really provide a lot of support for me and especially on the treadmill, it can be really uncomfortable. its not fair that you have to put more thought into it just because you have bigger boobs but not to be harsh but unfortunately thats just how it is since there are a lot of creeps around who wont take into account your age because thats not what they'll be focussing on. its not an inappropriate outfit but just make sure youre comfortable.

Check with the gym, as some have dress codes, but for me it's a no, for the fact that you'll be putting too much skin and sweat against the backs of the seats on machines. Also, other people may have done the same before you, and not wiped down properly, making it possible to catch skin infections. Better for you and everyone else that you wear a t-shirt
