Second year car insurance

I am currently weighing up my finances for uni and my main burden would be driving, i’m not overly sure wether keeping the car is worth it, i’m getting quotes for one ncd for around the £1200 area with a blackbox where as my friends are getting the same quotes without a blackbox any advice on how to bring my quotes down?

Add named drivers who have experience.

Do you really need the car for uni?

@StriderHort I don't suppose you've got any additional tips?

Add your parents (or someone older/with more experience) as a named driver. Shop around- look on comparison sites as well as with companies directly (some companies arent on comparison sites).

not sure if this has a big weighing on your car's insurance prices, and not saying its possible in your case at all but just thought you might be interested. the car can change your insurance cost. some cars have higher claim rates, so insurers charge more accordingly.
