Back on here after almost two years away, what have I missed?

It has been ages since I have been here and wow, new everything! New website format, different regulars, and I can't find emojis :frown:

What have I missed and can anyone give me a rundown on what's new in student rooms e.g. new threads or anything similar etc.

Almost everything has changed yellow warnings for slight errors.

The board was changed about a year ago, and there are some things you can't do on this board like edit posts you've quoted.

I see you've managed to use an emoji in your post, so I guess you know how to find them? If you don't then the option to use them should be available when you hit reply to a post; it should be the symbol in the top LHS, next to the paragraph drop-down menu. If you click on it, you'll get a list of newer, more modern emojis you can use, which are categorised.

However, if you want to use the older, traditional emojis, you can go to the RHS of the Emoji menu and click the one that looks like the Student symbol... where a selected few were retained (it was a public vote which ones to keep, so don't blame me if your favourites are now missing lol).

Obviously, can't fill you in on everything that's happened, so I would suggest you look at the areas that you frequented, and get the members there to fill you in on the main bits (there's bound to be a few members active who you remember and vice versa).

Any other questions, you may want to leave them on the Help and Announcements section of the site.
