Just give them an insight into you./ Tell them about yourself! It can be as much or as little as necessary. Put a few sentences so it at least looks ike youve put some effort in, but once you start writing more ideas come to mind. Just tell them about where you went primary and secondary school, the subjects you did at GCSE, grades you got, hobbies, what youll do with your qualification, career prospects, extra-curricular (not necessary and usually they dont care about clubs but its good filler).

Sorry for the late reply, but if you haven’t applied yet, i can’t give you a specific number. Don’t focus on the word count, focus on the content. You’re concisely describing who you are, your interests, and your educational background. If you focus on a word count you’ll get it all wrong because you’ll compress it down or waffle too much.

Lower limit of around 60/70 words. If you fall short and totally can’t think of anything, but think you’ve described yourself in enough detail, and it gives the reader an insight into who you are, then that’s perfect. If it’s truly enough to demonstrate who you are, it’ll show in the work,

I’d say absolute upper limit around 500 words. If it drags on, as long as it’s not full of waffle and filler and is easy to read, it shows you’re engaged and encouraging, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
