Hi @Emma19ryls

I would recommend trying to be really organised with your work and revision. I found that I spent too much time on one of my subjects and not enough on the others, so a timetable would have been useful for me. A timetable would have also helped me to plan my time better so that I could have studied more effectively, and made sure to take enough breaks.

I used year 12 as an opportunity to try out different revision methods and find out what worked for me so that by year 13 I was confident in what methods I liked using. This helped me to make sure that my revision in year 13 was more focused and productive.

Hope that helps!

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out!

I would recommend making sure that you don't leave your lessons with any unanswered questions - if needed, arrange to meet with your teacher and ask them to explain something again if you were not sure, or ask them for top tips on what they like to see in A* answers etc.

I also found it really useful to stay at school for an extra hour each day during the week to do some extra revision, past paper questions and flashcard making to make sure I was all caught up and was getting enough revision. It helped me improve my chemistry grade to an A after initially getting Cs.

I hope this helps, best of luck!
