Information in Society - UCL *vs* Digital Media and Culture - KCL

Which program do you think would be more employable?

I envision of working in the marketing/governance/product/sales/communication part of tech companies or tech driven enterprises.

I understand UCL is more reputable than King's. But, Information in Society is really a new program with no graduates in the job market yet.

In terms of the curriculum, they have lots in common, in my view. However, Information in Society of UCL has more course in data/computer science and humanities; while the Digital Media and Culture of KCL brings more communication/media courses.

I am an international student.

I applied to both courses as well (i haven't yet heard back from either) but I think that the UCL course will be more suited towards your career path of working in tech. I also want to do something similar and I think firms will take Information in society as more stem/tech compared to Digital Media and Culture so I think it's just down to if you want to go into marketing or tech since they are both very different.

Hi, thanks..

Do you mind sharing your stats?

I am an IB student with predicted score of 37, and HL 765. Do you think I have any decent chance to get an offer from any of them?

I got a conditional offer from KCL, but not from UCL yet.

Got offers from both, and plan to firm the UCL one.
