I'm losing my mind because I can't find any recent website that says the postgraduate journalism course at City is accredited by the BJCT. The schools I've applied to for undergrad are either NCTJ accredited (more for newspapers than television), or no accreditation at all.
While we're on this conversation, is the Uni of Leeds BA Journalism BJCT accredited, because the official BJCT website says it is but I've found no evidence that suggests that. I just need clarification on whether those two schools are accredited, because for undergrad I'm torn between Leeds and Sheffield - however, Sheffield offers the NCTJ (which is valued but not for my particular niche) and I don't know about Leeds.
Is going to the University of Leeds still worth it if its not accredited? Because if it isn't, is City accredited for a masters study? Do accreditations really matter for a career in broadcast journalism, or is work experience more important? And if you have an accreditation, is there much reason to pursue a masters?
