Help with edinburgh medicine

heyy im s4 doing my s5 options choice right now im planning on crashing high chem because I cant take nat 5 because of bad coloums :frown: but for edinburgh medicine I need nat 5 chem at B but if I got higher chem at A would they care? thanks <3

Hey! If you're doing Higher Chemistry and you achieve a grade A, that's actually a great achievement and could be considered stronger than just meeting the Nat 5 requirement.
As long as you meet the specific entry requirements for Chemistry at Nat 5 (grade B) according to you, they may prioritize Higher Chemistry if you perform well.

id recommend emailing Edinburgh to find out for sure but i cant imagine it would be an issue

No reply yet, have you started looking over the Nat 5 course? My chem teacher told me to go over it in summer holidays. Good luck with it btw :smile:

Yeah I’ve been doing bits on pieces on line with bbc bitesize, achieve, YouTube etc though put that on hold for a little while I focused on my prelims. Now their over though I’m going to start it up again, good luck to you to!
