Best Sussex Accommodation - Shared bathroom

Hi yall, I dunno if there's already a thread about this but I was just wondering what shared bathroom accommodation people recommend and/or answer a few questions I got

So what accommodation/s tend to be more sociable, I've seen Lewes Court seems a little futher from the other accommodation but are they pretty generally quiet or do people still socialise as much as East Slope and other more central accommodation?

Also how many people share a toilet in 1 accommodation, I've seen it's like 6 or something for Norwich but then it's 2 for Brighlehem but I can't seem to find any info on East Slope Townhouse i think? or find it on the map

Overall though, what accommodation (preferably below £200pw) did people like the most in terms of your money's worth and how often they interacted with roommates?

Brighthelm. You share a bathroom with 1-2 other people, have a balcony + your own washing machines and dryers. No other accom has this.

There will be events all over campus. Northfield is the furthest from everything that goes on. East slope is ridiculously expensive for what it is - yeah you have an ensuite and loads of parties but at those parties everyone will need to use your ensuite as there are no other toilets lol.

Brighthelm is defo the best deal!!

I am also planning on Brighthelm. But hey isn't East Slope Townhouse like just slightly more expensive? Yea no inhouse washer dryer but a bigger kitchen & more closer to classes? Or is it that 11-12 people under one roof is too much?

It’s not that much closer to classes. You’re paying extra for like 3 minutes walking distance. Also 11-12 people is hellish at uni - imagine negotiating washing/cleaning schedules with that many people (who haven’t lived away from home before). Everyone I know who lived in East slope said it wasn’t worth it. Go there for the parties, sure, but Brighthelm is defo the best place to live on campus… balconies, fewer people, sharing bathroom with 1-2 other people, free washing and tumble dryer (don’t have to carry all your washing 10 minutes down, wait for a free machine etc, haul it all back up after). I loved my time at Brighthelm can u tell lol

Thanks for the insight! Now let's hope I am able to get my first preference when the form opens. My list goes Brighthelm>East Slope Shared>Northfield>East Slope Ensuite>Rest. Let's hope it aint much different than my current dorms haha(its hell training here).
