I failed all of my first semester assignments and core exam, what should I do?

So basically, I am studying an engineering course at university, since It is what I did at college, and there was no way for me to choose anything else. This wasn't really a main option for me, as I did a work placement in the summer, as part of my college course, and they decided to offer me a L4 workshop apprentice role. However, I wasn't really Interested in this, as I would be stuck in a workshop creating parts, and on machines, so I Declined.

This all happened in September, as I went on holiday, and literally didn't do anything in regards to my future education (which is 100% my fault, and I do regret it). Anyways, I had applied to UCAS during my time at college, but these we're all random choices, as I had the hopes of finding an apprenticeship, and honestly I wasn't taking it seriously. I also really regret this, as I am in a really bad place, and have been for the last couple of months.

As the title states, I failed all of my assignments and core exam, this was all down due to my own negligence, and laziness and also a bit of fear, as the work that was being set out, was really hard for me, and everyone found it easy, or somewhat understandable. The main module Included Mechanical science and mathematics. I really struggled with this as I wasn't the best when it came to math's, as I basically scraped a 5 in GCSE foundation, and in college I didn't pass the engineering mathematics and electrical science exams, however I made up for it in other areas.

Due to this, I just skipped all of my lectures, and skipped all the assignments, and just stayed at home. I regret it so much, I don't know what to do, If I drop out my parents would go crazy, and I wouldn't know what to do.

As of right now, I had my first day back at uni this Monday, and the people in my course have asked my where I have been, as I missed most of the assignments, and the exam. I feel really guilty, as we had a group assignment, and I just sat out, without informing them (however I was the only one impacted, as It was an individual per section). I have university tomorrow (23/01/2024), and we will be put into groups for our next module, as we will have a group task, to create a presentation and present it by the start of April.

I just don't want to show up and get into groups, and then just ghost like I did before, so I just want to know what I should do, as this is my future I am playing with. And I really don't want to become a failure.

I hope someone can give me some genuine advice, as I really need it.

The first two paragraphs make you seem very unmotivated to be there. The most basic question is, do you want to be doing this degree?
