Exam Centre for Private Candidate Northern Ireland

I am reaching out to seek assistance regarding my daughter’s upcoming A-level examinations.

My daughter left school after completing her GCSEs and is now pursuing self-directed learning. This year, she would like to sit for her A-level Mathematics exam, and next year, she plans to take A-level English. However, we have been struggling to find an exam centre in Northern Ireland that accepts private candidates.

We have thoroughly searched all available resources, including the AQA website, but unfortunately, the schools listed there do not accommodate private candidates. Could you kindly advise us on where we might find an exam centre in Northern Ireland that accepts private candidates for A-level examinations?

You could try
https://www.jcq.org.uk/private-candidates-summer-2021/holy-trinity-college/?post_type=exam_centre&p=13837

It's the only centre that comes up in the JCQ search tool.

Many schools in NI offer the CCEA exams rather than AQA so there might be more options if she studied a different syllabus

Have you tried Loughshore EC? They've helped out in the past

Did you ever find anywhere? I’m in the same position and very much struggling
Since tutors and exams closed down my daughter could not find a centre for iGCSE in NI. Have to sit them in Tutors and Exams - choose Birmingham as centre is easiest to access by public transport.

As far as I know there are a couple of schools that accept private candidates for GCSE exams, not sure about A Levels. If you send me a message I'll send you the schools
Any joy? There seem to be quite a few people in a similar position. I've emailed around and got some contacts for AQA and CCEA, but none for Cambridge and Edexel so far

If any school offers Cambridge its likely to be private schools as they do IGCSEs rather than GCSEs.
