Would taking a gap year for this be worth it ?

My predicteds aint the best rn and i believe the best offer i can get is RHUL which is close to me and Leeds where i would have to move out , is it worth to hypothecially if i got say A*AA in real thing to take gap year and try for Warwick ( i have contextual) bristol (contexual) and KCL would it be worth the year for comp sci

It's a sensible option if you're keen on one of those unis.

You could do both - apply to lower grade Unis this year and in August when you get your grades just decide if you want to go to whatever place you then have, or if you do achieve mega-grades you could then cancel that place and reapply elsewhere for 2026 entry whilst on a gap-year.

It's a decision for you to make tbh. Some people want to get it all done, but at the same time there's nothing saying you have to go to uni this year.
