Short midwifery interview

I just finished my midwifery interview with derby, it was incredibly short (about 7 minutes) I feel so disheartened and feel like I said literally nothing. Just wondering if anyone else’s interview was so short lol.

Hi I've applied for nursing and had 3 interviews so far.
All of my interviews lasted about 15 minutes (one was 10) and have had offers from 2, (I am waiting back on one uni) I don't think it's necessarily the length of what you say so much as the quality.
It is out of your control now regardless and you can use what you have learnt from this interview to improve for your next.

Good luck x

Thank you for your reply ! I think honestly I tend to be really negative about interviews haha so hopefully this is just one of those cases where I didn’t do too bad. Best of luck for your last one and well done on your offers! 💗x
I did the same interview at Derby today and mine lasted around 8 minutes. I think it’s normal for interviews to last 10-15 minutes or less as they only ask a few questions. I try and ask loads of questions at end of the interview to make it last longer and demonstrate more passion for midwifery. In one of my other interviews it lasted around the same time and I felt like I had not said enough but I still got an offer, so don’t worry. Hopefully we both get an offer good luck!

Thanks so much for the response! I was so confused, it was my first uni interview ever I went into it expecting like a half an hour at least lol! Hope you hear back from them soon & congratulations on your offer!! X

Not derby, but I recently had a midwifery interview that was 30 minutes scheduled. The interview only lasted 15 minutes, with an extra two to confirm things like DBS. I thought this was strange and I was worried, but I ended up getting an offer. So your chances are still high! You’ve done the interview, so just wait now! And relax!! Interview over!!
