Apologies for rambling so much! Basically I just really need some advices on how to increase my chance to secure a place at LSE finance <3 THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
I’m a Year 12 student really aiming to get into LSE for a finance degree or land a JP Morgan apprenticeship. I’m super determined and willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. My GCSEs weren’t perfect, but they were solid: I got three As in both English and geography (was unwell before the geography exam, sadly) and A*s (mostly 8s) in the rest of the eight subjects, like computer science, Spanish, further maths, food, all the sciences, etc. Right now, I’m studying further maths, maths, chemistry, and physics, and I’m expecting straight A*s.
I’ve been working hard to find finance-related work experience but haven’t had much luck. I’ve done a few online finance programmes, but they didn’t feel very helpful, and I haven’t heard back from the places I applied for work experience. I even got rejected from Morgan Stanley’s Step In, Step Up women’s event.
It’s tough because I know how important experience is, but being on a bursary at a private school means I can’t apply for a lot of outreach programmes meant for state school students.
I’d really appreciate any advice on how to strengthen my chances of getting into a top uni or a finance apprenticeship. Thank you soooo much!!
