Hi , Are there any specific places students do their placements? for example I know in Manchester students have the opportunity to do it in Manchester's' Eye Hospital

The academic has informed me that in year 3 of our MOptom degree students are offered placements at various local hospitals. In year 4 there is an application process for placements via a portal run by the GOC, placements are listed on the portal and applicants apply for them.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any further enquiries

i got offer AAB for man idk whether i should firm as its a 1 hour commute but on the other hand the interviewer said that students get to do hospital placement at Manchester royal eye hospital in 2nd/3rd year so i guess thats the benefit of going manchester instead of bradford.
same they were really quick they gave me it a day after the interview i was so surprised because i stuttered so much in the interview because of nerves so i thought id flopped lmao😭

I was planning on doing Manchester as my insurance ( which doesn’t really make sense because they have higher entry requirements lol ) Yh the commute for Manchester would be too long for me personally so I probably move there .so Bradford is probably what I would firm. Bradford is also very good I think it was ranked 7th in the uk for its optometry school but Yh not the same vibe ig
