Holding a relationship whilst studying?

I’ve just started seeing someone who’s not at the same college/uni as me, although we were at the same secondary school and we bonded on text after I’d left. Is there hope for us?

Yes.

If the cause of the worry is situations shown on social media where it hasn't worked out or friends who have gone through the same issue; don't think that the same will happen to you. Every relationship is different, as is the people within it. Some can manage long distance, some can't.

Maybe organise times of the year when you're both available to visit each other, and if you worry about drifting then you should communicate your concerns to your partner..

It depends on the effort both of you put in, I was in a similar situation and in the end we broke up due to his parents not approving of seeing me plus we never crossed paths so it was pratically impossible to see him, but if you both genuinely like each other you will be able to balance it out and I hope his family likes you
