Why are recruitment agencies dumb and stupid. I applied for a position thinking yep i can get the job only to receive a response saying "many thanks for applying for a counsellor position but you have been unsuccessful because you don't have the right qualifications". I rang back to the recruitor and said i am not a counsellor and i did not apply for a counselling position. They then said "oh sorry about that i had to deal with many counsellors". They asked for my details and instead of reading the job description, they automatically assumed i wasn't fit for the role. They said "oh yh you need a xxx qualification and need to be registered". What they failed to realise had they read the job description is that you don't need to be registered because training is given on the job and once you passed probation, you are then officially registered, which they wanted to begin with. I mean how dumb and stupid can you be. I then spoke to their manager who was even more stupid than their colleague by saying I HAD TO BE A NURSE to apply for the position. It baffles me whether they are actually bothered in doing their job and how many suitable candidates they have rejected based on their own judgement, perception or dare I say racism. This isn't the first time that I dealt with a recruitment agency who have incompetent individuals working for them. One sent me a job as an admin/receptionist when my CV is for another role. Like WTH. I think its racism because they look at my CV and think, "ooo the name sounds foreign and I hate foreigners so let me pull the wool over their eyes because they won't know". Why can't they do their job properly?.
