Sorry to dig this up. I just got a call from 000. Just a dialer. Freaky.
I've been searching the internet for anyone who's had the same thing happen to them as this and you guys seem to be the only ones close.

I just got a call from "+000". I answered and said nothing for a minute. Then I said hello and a very freaky automated woman said "Goodbye" and hung up immediately. Freaked me the hell out.

I've searched that number and the closest I've gotten is the Australian emergency services. Given I live in Scotland, I seriously doubt that's it. Help?!

Hey,

The same thing happend to me over 4 days but they called over 30 times on +000, i called my service provider and they said that this wasn't a number and basically said i was lying!!. I tried to call the number back but it was saying 'number unobtainable' , all it says when i answer is 'goodbye'. It really really scared me, anyway in the end vodaphone changed my number for free, but i still really wanna no who the hell it is.
I had a call from +000 this morning to my mobile, I just missed it. I tried ringing back but all I got was "this number has not been recognised". I did the same and googled and all I seen was some Australian company, but I also live in Scotland. What is this all about? Different if they are stinging people with charges if they are calling them back but you can't get through....now I'm glad I never answered as everyone seems to be getting the same "goodbye" message, creepy!

I have just had it as well. Call from +000 and when I answer just a 'Goodbye'. I hope I am not now 'infected'. I live in London. Has anyone registered their mobile number for something recently - maybe there is a common theme between those who have had this happen??

I received a call from this number literally 5 mins ago, so googled it and ended up here.
Said hello a few times but the line was dead at the other end and then after a second i heard the automated "goodbye" in an womans voice.
It has puzzled me as to what it could be...

Edit...
P.S. I live in scotland and use the T-Mobile network, dunno if that has anything to do with it.

I have had this call twice in the last two weeks. I didn't bother to answer the second time it called.

I was concerened that it could be an attempt to hyjack the phone software, but I've not had any unusual phone bills or data usage and the phone still appears to be operating normally.

The phone is a G1 running Android on the T-mobile network.
what is going on here?

Of particular interest:

'0000000000000' calls are simply international numbers. That's all! Most BT overseas calls will register as 'number unavailable' on displays or as 'We do not have the caller's number to return the call' on 1471 UK. BUT NOT ALL. Occasionally it'll be a string of zeros.

In the case of those of you who had silent calls, that's 'block dialling'. Many numbers with the same CODE are dialled simultaneously, and only the first to pick up the phone is actually spoken to: the rest just hear a hang-up. It's a way for SALES and SURVEY companies to waste less time by dialling individual numbers. It's illegal inside the UK, but it's done from abroad.

Could be a combination of block dialing and an international number?
000 in Australia is the emergency number (equivalent of 999). The phone may have it set as a default emergency number. Not sure though why it is ringing automatically.

You can't call foreign emergency hotlines. 112 and 911 just redirect to 999 in this country.

It's pretty freaky how you've all had the same automated goodbye voice lol, now I'm scared and I haven't even gotten the call. And why does everyone who says this only have 1 post? Though they all joined on different days.

I had this 'goodbye' message on my house phone today too. :dontknow:
And I've heard of someone else who has had this call today as well.
How odd.
