Predicted grades for a Resit student

Hi all,
I am applying on UCAS this year as I am resitting Biology due to me not receiving the grade I needed last year. I am resitting the subject at my former sixth form college and I was told they aren't able to add a predicted grade for the resit as they no longer teach me. If I apply without a predicted grade does that put me at a disadvantage? I would like to get into Uni of Nottingham however the grades I achieved last year are ABC (A* EPQ) so I am quite concerned about this.

what grades do the uni want? If its 1 or 2 grades away from what have you could ask a tutor to predict you

I would need AAB (if A in epq which I have) my concern is whether or not they actually can give me a predicted grade as I am no longer a student at that college

if you have a private tutor in those 2 subjects you could ask them. if not you could try find one online and ask them to assess you and give you a predicted grade based of that?

Thank you for the advice I'll try to do that. However if I am unsuccessful do you think applying without a predicted grade will result in me being rejected or put me at a disadvantage?

I think it depends on how competitive your course is tbh. I would email the uni and ask if they would consider your application without predicted grades and see what they say!

You need to find a private tutor, have a few lessons for them to see your progress and then ask them to give you a predicted grade, otherwise the unis will use your grade from last year. Will your school give you a reference?
