Anyone got an interview for Oral Health sciences in Scotland?
I am a dental nurse with a lot of experience but i am getting concerned I haven’t heard anything yet not even a rejection. I applied for Glasgow, UHI and Dundee. I didn’t initially expect to hear anything till after 29th of January so just wanted to check if anybody had heard anything.

wow congratulations! when did you hear? i haven’t heard anything yet from anyone so a bit on edge but think it can take months for GCU and dundee

Thank you! I heard on Friday, when did you apply?
I know UHI do it in batches as last year I applied on the deadline and was offered in Feb i think. I know how hard but try not to worry they can take ages!
I nearly applied for Glasgow too but decided that it was too far for me

i applied november / december time! i really want dundee as it means i can just commute but i applied for them all as i’ve heard how competitive it is! are you pending highers or have you achieved them all?

I have achieved them all plus I'm a mature student. What about you?
i’m 27 and i’ve sat higher english last year and got an A and i’m currently sitting higher human bio and psychology this year. i’ve heard from dundee at the open day that your highers should be at least in the last 5 years and i think they said 3 for biology? i was surprised because i couldn’t find that information anywhere online. so i had to pay privately to do my highers (ouch), do you think being a mature student and a dental nurse with experience serves us well? where are you based?

Oh that's interesting thanks. Yeah I've got higher human bio and English. I also had to pay privately however it should be worth it in the end.
Erm yes and no to be honest. For experience side of things yes definitely but I know alot of people who have had no experience and have got a place so I really think it depends

i also got an interview last year for glasgow but was rejected cos no experience so that’s probably how i got an interview so quickly

i only applied to gcu cos i can’t go to uni outside of glasgow 😭😭 i applied for other courses like pharma and biomed tho
